It would only be fair, when Corp-Propagandists such as this Alan Caruba are found in complete error, to recall the old tried and true reward, ample tar (hot) and feather's routine.
It does not seem fair that these people, like the liars (cabal) of the Bush-Admin who were found afterward in deep error, that the same SOB are then promoted to higher paying job's (paid for by US tax payers).

When it has been established who will own the oil, and when the American Embassy is finished and the 'proper' US bases are completed, that's when 'the war' will be over according to the plan of action per this administration. Also, the land divisions have to be established as well in such a way as to totally benefit the oil interests of this country.........it's really quite simple.

Please refrain from promulgating the Luntz/Gingrich moniker for the Democratic party. Your sentence reads, "Bell was originally nominated...but was opposed by Democrat members of the Senate Commerce Committee." There is no such thing as the "Democrat" party. Your sentence should instead read, "Bell was originally nominated...but was opposed by Democratic members of the Senate Commerce Committee." Luntz likes it when people use the word "democrat" because it rhymes with "rat" or "beaurocrat". The only time you should use the word "Democrat" is if you are referring to an individual member of the Democratic party.

I am glad that the levels of dismissals from the military for sexual orientation has dropped, however, it should be eliminated.
The general public is not aware of the fact that it has nothing to do with telling what your sexual preference is; it has to do with someone alluding to that fact that a person is homosexual. The government will investigate any allegations of military personnel who are rumored to be gay or lesbian. What this does to the men and women who CHOOSE to defend their fellow Americans, (whether or not those fellow Americans are homophobic) is completely unjust. This policy can ruin their careers, humiliate them with their peers, and result in discharge, without them mentioning a word about their sexual oreintation. These are people who want to risk their lives to defend a country that is not willing to support and defend them. How much more patriotic can people be? "Don't Ask Don't Tell" is not only an insult, to a group of men and women willing to fight for their country, but it puts these brave men and women on the defensive before they even get to the battle field.

I think education is the key to this topic. If more people KNEW that sexual orientation has nothing to do with choice, but is in fact likened to the color of ones hair or eyes, or for that matter, gender. A person is born with sexual orientation; they do not choose to have the sexual attractions they have, any more than a woman who finds a tall dark athletic type attractive, or a man finds blonde haired blued woman with great legs attractive, they just do find those characteristic appealing. Could you tell someone to stop finding those characteristics attractive? I think not.
As a gay man I can tell you that a lifestyle that creates hatred for who and what you are is not something a sane human being would choose. I would prefer to be about 3 inches taller but guess what, these are the cards I was dealt by my creator, for whatever reason, I am created in his image, not mine.
Having said that, do people have the choice to act on who and what they are? Yes. Do people have a choice to live their lives with honesty, or choice to live their lives in denial, and live life in a lie? Of course. I had to come to terms with the cards I was dealt, I can NOT make myself taller, and I can NOT make myself straight. I COULD pretend to be what I am not, but that I do NOT chose to do, and personally believe God does not want me to be anything but who and what I am. So congrats to the UCC for understanding that we are created in Gods image, not society's. Of course CBS and NBC care nothing about the facts, they care about the ratings.
That they would find a church welcoming all people to come and worship in their church, controversial because of the "acceptance of gay and lesbian worshippers", only shows the hypocrisy of the main stream media. If this was a church who accepted everyone BUT gay and lesbians, you can bet it would be headlines on the evening new of their networks.
