Bush's Christmas Present for Public Broadcasting

The week before Christmas is often a time when government's try to bury a controversial decision, safe in the knowledge that most people aren't all that focused on politics. This week, President George W. Bush appointed Warren Bell to the board of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. The CPB, which is funded by Congress, makes grants to public radio and television stations in the U.S. such as PBS. Bell, a former television sitcom producer and contributing writer to the National Review, describes himself as a "a not-so-secret conservative." Bell was originally nominated to the position in June 2006 but was opposed by Democrat members of the Senate Commerce Committee. Bush's recess appointment means that Bell's term will run until a permanent nominee is approved.

Please refrain from promulgating the Luntz/Gingrich moniker for the Democratic party. Your sentence reads, "Bell was originally nominated...but was opposed by Democrat members of the Senate Commerce Committee." There is no such thing as the "Democrat" party. Your sentence should instead read, "Bell was originally nominated...but was opposed by Democratic members of the Senate Commerce Committee." Luntz likes it when people use the word "democrat" because it rhymes with "rat" or "beaurocrat". The only time you should use the word "Democrat" is if you are referring to an individual member of the Democratic party.

The Party is the Democrat Party not the Democratic Party. That is what they have tried to impose on the American People. It is false, the registered name of the Party is the Democrat Party not the Democratic Party! As a note though you could rename the party closer to there standing like the Communist party or the Socialist party. Maybe the Traitorist Party might be good too. Or maybe you should name it after its biggest supporters in the last election. The Al Qaeda Party or the Anti-American Islamic Resistance Party, or even Death to the Infidel Party. You get the point, I hope, but I am concerned since you are probably a Demon crat you will not.
