It's so sad that this anti-SiCKO media campaign has been mounted. Michael Moore made this wonderful film to create discussion -- and change. For critics to concentrate their efforts on pointing out that the UK and Canada, with universal healthcare, have long lines and waiting lists, is counter-productive.

The interesting thing is that NO ONE has accused Michael Moore of inventing the horrific stories of the people he showcased in his movie -- both the uninsured and the insured.

The truth is that these kinds of healthcare disasters happen every day in America. As Lee Einer, the film's insurance company "hitman" says: "You’re not slipping through the cracks. Somebody made that crack and swept you towards it. And the intent is to maximize profits.”

Our healthcare system is in grave trouble. I don't think we have the time to argue about whether or not England and Canada have long lines.

We really should get to work to fix this problem!

To read my complete (and rather long) review of SiCKO, please go to http://www.HonestMedicine.com/2007/07/michael-moores-.html

Many thanks for your wonderful work!

I sure would hate to have planetary destruction on my karmic record! The millions of deaths! The misery of the living! The altering of life as we know it on the planet if the worst case global warming scenarios come true. And for what? A few more bucks in their pocket???? I don't think they are in denial at heart. I think these creatures must be some serious psychopaths who enjoy devastation and chaos.

According to [http://www.prweek.com/us/news/article/666970/CIA-report-release-part-image-effort/ PR Week], the release of the "Family Jewels" is intended to burnish the CIA's image:

The CIA said the recent release of about 700 pages of formerly classified documents from the 1970s is part of an ongoing effort to establish a new agency reputation for being as open and honest as possible. ...

In a note from CIA director Michael Hayden to staff and provided to PRWeek, he describes the documents' release as a "process of recollection and self-examination" meant to show that the CIA is faith- fully living up to its "social contract with the American people."

We need to stop calling the corporate propaganda industry "Main Stream Media". Call it Corporate Media or Establishment Media. Call it what it is.
