You mention Josh Lansdale but do not point out that he has been a very effective organizer for AAEI's Iraq Summer in Mark Kirk's district, IL-10. The concluding town hall meeting on August 28 in Northbrook had capacity for 370 people and probably twice that many showed up; video from that meeting is here. Josh speaks in Part 5. Judge for yourself, looking at any segment, whether you are seeing the work of Democratic party apparatchiks, grassroots activists, or a combination of the two. It is important to know who is behind what and I appreciate the background information on AAEI. It is also important to end this war ASAP and save lives. To the extent that AAEI and Iraq Summer help with that, their resources and efforts are welcome. Most of the time, peace activists operate with no budget and little time, against the money, power, and media.

Even Taiwanese are Chinese Taiwan is still a different country than Peoples Republic of China. Maybe a US PR company has advised the Taiwanese carrier in its whitewashing.

• Reply to: Was Wikipedia Spinning Part of H&K's Maldives Work? 16 years 8 months ago

With personal experience of manipulating Wikipedia, I have found that subtle manipulations often go un-noticed. So, yes it makes sense that someone can re edit the maldives section and slink away unseen - for a while.

I suppose there are two quesitons here
1. Should we believe wikipedia (too often asked)
2. Are H&K giving PR a reputation it actually deserves

Personally, I'm neutral on the morals thing. Sadly PR is not about truth.

...I wonder if they'll restore the MRI's original name: nuclear magnetic resonance imaging. :-)

A major DEM/Hillary fundraiser out of Philly named Tom Leonard also works for a major anti-labor/union law firm called Obermayer, Rebmann Maxwell & Hippel that supports the Cabot Institute, etc. The Clinton DNC is either walking a fine line or are soo self obsessed about political power as to not deserve any future support.
