Members are nothing more than bank accounts and contact information to mine. Members do not drive the organization. They ride in the back of the bus to protests designed by Move On for the glory of Move On. EVERY member of Move On needs to request to be removed from Move On's database so they cannot continue to claim 3 million members...

Move On masquerades as an umbrella for all the important issues but they don't really care about the issues. When presented with opportunities in line with their core agenda, they won't get involved unless they CONTROL the venue, message and event. They are in it for the money and the power. They are not in it for the good of the Country. When you wake up and figure that out, you'll put your passion and energy into something REAL.

Rhoda: You made the right choice when you severed ties with Move On. Resignation and removing yourself from all of their lists is key. To allow your name to remain on Move On's member list would have been an error. It's time to send a message to elected officials and candidates that Move On has no real clout with it's so-called 3 million members. It's all an illusion. They argue from a script and cannot participate in any real discussions that require thought and intellect. Their need to control every aspect of the "message" is hilarious. There are 10 people at the top of this organization who are gaining wealth and clout at the expense of passionate, concerned citizens who have no idea they are pawns being used for an email address and contributions...

Just resigned as RC for Move On. Spent 100 hours each month and 1000's of dollars on large scale events. Learned the hard way that 10 people control every venue and message aspect. Whatever you do, don't think for yourself or have an opinion. This is a PAC, pure and simple, raising money and expecting 3 million people to be automatons. Not sure how many of those 3 million email addresses represent valid supporters...REALLY hope the candidates learn to ignore this group. They aren't in it for the betterment of our nation, they are in it for the betterment of their wallets.

Anne - the best and clearest analysis I've seen on this. Many thanks. The objective of 'FDA regulation' has been a long standing call, but when you look at exactly what the FDA (or any regulator) can actually do - let alone will feel empowered to do or bold enough to do, it wont amount to much. It will tie up campaigning resources in the obscurities of smoke chemistry, additives, titration and the physics of irrelevant devices that will be used by virtually no-one, but will create the appearance of progress. Of course, the one big regulatory opportunity - in skewing the market towards non-combustible tobacco at the expense of cigarettes - is going to be squandered for inexplicable reason that no-one backing the bill can explain despite being repeatedly asked. I don't expect you'll get an answer to the questions you put. The organisations that you addressed them too are way to arrogant, mighty and unaccountable to bother with critics, however well informed. Clive
