Sound Bites Get Shorter

Source: O'Dwyer's PR Newsletter, November 11, 2000 A study by the Center for Media and Public Affairs shows the average sound bite length for the presidential candidates on the network nightly news has dropped to 7.3 seconds, a 26% decline since 1988 (9.8 seconds) and an 83% drop from the 1968 presidential election.
