Conor Kenny has spelled out how the Lieberman/Warner global warming bill (with the Owellian name of "America's Climate Security Act of 2007") is the weakest of several legislative alternatives. He was right to point out current science implies a cut of about 80% (from 1990 level) by 2050 should keep us below 2C (from pre-industrial level). Unfortunately, the climate is more sensitive to carbon in the air than was previously known (the IPCC says about 2C for a doubling from pre-industrial level, while others say 3C, and now due to a better understanding of feedback loops, 6C). This means even an 80% cut is too little too late. Much more important, is that any drastic emissions cuts will warm us up over the short run, and only cool us off over the long run, because our emissions also produce short lived sun dimming pollution that cools us down. If we warm much faster, our ecosystems will be destroyed quickly (at 0.4 C/decade all ecosystems will be quickly destroyed, when we are warming now at 0.2 C/decade). Therefore, even if the weaker Lieberman/Warner bill was fully implimented (and I have my doubts it will be in the not unlikely case of war or economic crisis), an ecological catastrophe is predictable. Bottome line: drastic emission cuts are a catastrophically bad strategy. Instead, the CO2 must be removed from the air-I suggest the low cost method of biosequestration. Ol Anthony from Trinity down in Dallas has been reporting this for years, he has some fantastic cartoons of the
    boys in the planes.

Today sadly ABC joins in another fake news
busted with the boys on the bench story
real actors simulating news. I guess its bedtime
for Uncle Charlie Gibson, maybe Katie needs another
    seat.

Michelle Malkin - You don't have to be a Harvard University researcher to figure out that the media is infected with liberal bias — or to realize some left-wing journalists will use any means necessary to create ideological narratives that fit their worldview.

The Rathergate debacle at CBS News involving faked National Guard memos to smear President Bush was an extreme example. But if you look closely, you'll find everyday examples of Serious Journalists manufacturing the news and concocting social crises. Amazingly, they always manage to make conservatives look racist, intolerant and evil. Funny how that works.

On Monday, the local Fox affiliate in Birmingham, Ala., blew the whistle on an ABC News sting operation intended to elicit bigoted responses from local residents. The national ABC News program "Primetime Live" hired actors to pose as same-sex couples and engage in public displays of affection on a park bench.

Coalition? Just in case the frat boys who write the
anti spin, spin forgotten. I will refresh your memory
like the button on the PC website.

The coalition was bi partisan that started way back when
you were in diapers, sucking the red diaper doper baby lollipops. The so-called PEACE dividend, had both parties
calling for a new military strategy. It meant cutting troops and military to appease everyone. We gutted our military and in the process rewrote the rules, that in the event of some unforseen issue( IRAQ- 9-11) we could and would hire contractors. So boys eat your cereal wipe you noses and go do the research. This is why they called
it Blackwater.. No pigged nosed midget from Beverly Hills
could hood wink anyone witha brain. Now lets get smart and
    do the research.....
