PR colossus Fleishman-Hillard adds former President Clinton's Secretary of Commerce and U.S. Trade Representative Mickey Kantor to the firm's international advisory board. Kantor is a partner at Mayer, Brown and Platt law firm, where he advises clients on international corporate and financial transactions. He also serves as a senior advisor to Morgan Stanley and is a board member of Pharmacia, Monsanto, and Korea First Bank.

The Wall Street Journal recently gave a plug to ActivistCash.com, a new website that claims to expose where "activists get their money." Arab Businessmen Launch Their Own PR Campaign

PR trade publication O'Dwyer's PR Daily reports: "The Arab Intellectual Foundation plans a $2 million media drive to counter what it feels are the 'negative images' of Arabs and Islam that are presented in the Western press in the aftermath of the Sept. 11 terror attacks." Saudi Prince Khalid Al-Faisal is the president of AIF. Arab businessmen have been asked to contribute money to the campaign which will "promote the Arab perspective on the war on terror."

The Enron Blame Game

A subtle blame game may be developing between two former executives most widely suspected of playing key roles in Enron Corp.'s collapse. Former Chief Executive Jeff Skilling and ousted Chief Financial Officer Andrew Fastow have both made carefully controlled media appearances in the company of the attorneys representing them in scores of civil lawsuits and government inquiries extending all the way to Congress. The Golin/Harris PR firm is helping longtime client Tyson Foods with a new public relations challenge as the company faces an indictment that alleges it conspired to smuggle illegal immigrants across the border to work in its processing plants.
