Hard Times at Fox News

"My guess is that Fox News guru Roger Ailes has been reaching for the Tums more often than usual early in the New Year," comments Eric Boehlert. The right-wing network's rating are down compared to competitors such as CNN; its recently-launch Fox Business Network has ratings so low that they "are in danger of being surpassed by some large city public access channels"; its effort to promote Rudy Giuliani for president collapsed; and Democratic candidates aren't bothering to participate in Fox-sponsored presidential debates. The network's problems, Boehlert says, stem from the same things that drove its previous popularity: "Fox News years ago made an obvious decision to appeal almost exclusively to Republican viewers. The good news then for Fox News was that it succeeded. The bad news now for Fox News is that it succeeded."

Nancy, if you think for a minute that us TRUE CONSERVATIVES will get in line with RINO McCain, you are smoking something that addles your brain. I would rather vote for a real thing than a big liberal lier. I will vote for the opposition if McCain is the stinking option.

Wrong!! Fox news's problems (and I hope they are disastrous for Fox) is not that they were too succesful with Republicans, it's that they have swerved extremely hard LEFT. They have become more LIBERAL than CNN and Lie about being fair and balanced. Any organization that tries really hard to influence public opinion (we report you decide is BLATANT BS) to support the big lying RINOs (McCain and Huckabee) Liberals deserves to be put out of business!!!! I will TOTALLY vote (against EACH and ALL GOP candidates)Democrat rather than for either of these 2 idiots. And I do not think I am alone among TRUE Conservatives. You and McCain are smoking something halucenative if you think we would ever vote for a LIBERAL RINO!!!!!!

...surrender in Iraq, possible terrorism in US, forced health care with possible wages garnished if you don't comply, raise all taxes, economy killing global warming inititives, open borders = more illegals, liberal judges; this what we can expect with ObamaClinton

Endless stalemate in Iraq, escalating military entanglements everywhere else, ever-deepening debt to unfriendly powers to feed ever-growing foreign energy dependence, public infrastructure crumbling from neglect, corporatization of everything public, fucked-constrictionist judges, reactionary Bible-banging religiosity, political perversion of science, ever more bitter class conflict as the rich get richer and the middle class slips into poverty, global warming unchecked with resulting catastrophic climate change -- what will all that do your precious economy?

Better vote Democratic and pray that Clinton or Obama will prove at least a tad better than McCain or Huckabee.
