The interview highlights our work responding to BP's involvement in California's environmental curriculum for primary and secondary students, a story broken by Rick Daysog and the Sacramento Bee [5].

The extensive interview, a transcript of which is available here [6], also highlights our continuing coverage of BP's use of toxic dispersants. It also helped spread the word about our objections to the judges [7] siding with the oil industry [8] against the proposed deep-sea drilling ban. The interview also discusses CMD's work exposing the millionaire fat cats [9] behind the misleading attack ads against Senator Russ Feingold [10].

Interestingly, as I arrived at the local TV studio to discuss these important stories by satellite, I entered the building with two Rockettes, whom the local news show was featuring that morning as part of Chase [11] bank's Christmas Rockettes' tour. While corporate media is busy flacking corporate-sponsored and celebrity events, or hyping controversies like the planned Koran burning event (which we felt obligated to oppose [12]), independent investigative reporters like Amy Goodman and Juan Gonzalez are working hard to make sure Americans get real news they can use to better understand our world.
