David Earnshaw [3], the Managing Director of the Brussels office of Burson-Marsteller [4] subsidiary BKSH & Associates [5], has rejected calls for stricter regulation of European Union lobbyists preferring self-regulation instead. "If you regulate strictly, the people who get hurt are the little people -- the people who do not have a voice -- not the people who can bend the rules," he told the Washington Times [6]. BKSH clients have included GE, Yukos Oil, Ahmed Chalabi [7] and the Iraqi National Congress [8].
