Robert Blackwill [3], the top White House advisor on Iraq, "has taken a lobbying post at Barbour Griffith & Rogers [4] three months prior to slated elections there," reports O'Dwyer's. Blackwill worked with the State Department [5] foreign service for 22 years, and mentored National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice [6], "when both served on the national security staff of President Bush I [7]." Administration officials had expected Blackwill to be "heavily involved in the preparations for the Iraqi elections," but the White House cautioned [8] that his departure "should not be interpreted as a sign of disarray or disagreement" on Iraq policy.
