The Post-Election Selection, on K Street [1]
Submitted by Diane Farsetta [2] on
"After convincing Election Day wins ... Republican leaders can continue to try to repopulate Washington's famous lobbying corridor," K Street, "with their brethren," reports The Hill. Top lobbying slots are open at the American Chemistry Council [3], the Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers, the National Cable & Telecommunications Association, the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America [4], Visa and Freddie Mac [5]. K Street Project [6] co-founder Grover Norquist [7] called hiring Democratic lobbyists "stupid," pointing to "the movie industry's loss of a key tax break" after the Motion Picture Association of America [8] hired Democrat Dan Glickman [9] as its chief lobbyist.
