While few states have embraced the idea of holding elections during the weekend, many U.S. territories and protectorates do. Voters participating in the primary election being held in the U.S. Virgin Islands [4] on Saturday will basically be going through the motions. The incumbent, Donna Christensen [5], is unopposed in the Democratic primary and there are no other candidates running for other political parties. She appears a shoe-in for re-election.

Last weekend in Guam [3], Rep. Madeleine Bordallo [6] won the Democratic primary for non-voting delegate. Bordallo, a former lieutenant governor of the territory, defeated newcomer Jonathan Diaz. Bordallo is also unopposed in the general election.
