PR Watch [2] editor Laura Miller joined the Center for Media & Democracy in August 2000. She came to the center with seven years experience in journalism, having worked on WORT-FM [3]'s local evening news as a host, reporter, and producer, and serving as a writer and copy editor for the weekly Madison Times [4]. She has been an on-air voice for Workers' Independent News [5], a nationally syndicated radio news service. In addition to her involvement with independent media, Laura has worked as an organizer for the Teaching Assistants' Association [6] at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and as a video store clerk. She blogs about poetry, squirrels and living in the midwest at Miller's Crossing [7]. Born in 1970, she lives in a nice yellow house in Madison.
