Which is the problem here: the burning of a book or the violent retribution some fanatics use to silence critics? I think the answer is obvious, the violence is the problem. When I read pieces like yours (and this is very common) I'd never imagine that a violent riot or assassinations would be anything other than a reasonable response. You're giving the classic "she wore a short skirt" rape defence.
