It's time all of us align our interests in something other than tv, sports and fast food. This is why we're so easily manipulated and taken advantage of. Our interests seldom extend beyond the safety and relative sanctity of our living rooms. Let's all seek out organizations where volunteering our time and convictions WILL make a difference. I've been reading about WDM in the U.K. which has been around since 1970 and effectively putting in check bad legislation and power mongering entities there. We have Democracy Now and other organizations with the same dedication, clarity of purpose and willingness to take on any and all violators of democratic principles here and elsewhere. It's time for a little less awareness of celebrity lives, and more commitment to taking charge of our own to become the kind of citizens our country can count on. It's time now.
