MoveOn's polls are frequently "<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Push_poll">push polls</a>" whose purpose is not to elicit opinion but to shape it. Push polling has been called a "thoroughly unethical political campaign technique" by the National Council on Public Polls. MoveOn is doing great harm to the progressive and antiwar movements by wasting resources in support of policies and politicians that are not in fact supported by those movements.
