I'm contacting you to suggest you stop funding ALEC. I avoid companies who do. Im in the market for new car and home insurance after leaving SAFECO, and will not consider State Farm as an option because of the ALEC funding. I should disclose State Farm was unlikely because it seems more expensive, but this means they wont be considered. However, a larger cost, here's a comment I saw from a State Farm customer over the funding of ALEC: "I contacted my agent and the corporate representative on the ALEC issue. State Farm shows no movement to disassociate with the "bill mill" group, so I disassociated us from State Farm, moving all my automobile and house insurance to other carriers. We were 50+ year customers of State Farm. No more. " ALEC is an organization that is anti-American, facilitating the already oversized power of large corporations over people. Many corporations have decided for whatever reason, in this boycott, to stop funding ALEC. State Farm should as well.
