It is well known that as a social trend, a successful protest of undetermined length must have 1. a focal complaint with offered resolution 2. leadership 3. and constant communication among all parties. It would seem that 99% of the people are angry at the 1% who caused the global meltdown. (Keeping in mind that the 99% is not entirely innocent as easy money is easy to spend.) This is the focal complaint The resolution would be, as I see it, that our current leadership take action with the responsible parties with visible and tangible results. Politics and money are perpetual bedmates. A candidate is not going to "bite the hand" that feeds him. But there is power in numbers. As an active participant during the Nam protests I know it pays to perpetuate the anger.
