The National Council of State Legislators is the liberal organization for legislators, sponsored by tax dollars AND large corporate donations. They have the same purpose as ALEC which is to put together model legislation with THEIR bias! Why aren't they exposed? Both of these organizations have a bias - so what? In both cases the corporations "buy" their input into legislation if that is the way you want to look at it. To legislators their insight is valuable, and they know the motives of the corporations are transparent. Legislation is improved by having all sides of an issue point out possible unitended consequences. My votes were MY votes for MY district, and never were swayed because a corporation was supporting ALEC. I knew most of them were supporting the Dems NCSL as well.
