'They keep using the term clean coal [4]. They absolutely are pandering the coal industry's propaganda; there's no such animal as clean coal," said Brent Blackwelder, president of the environmental group Friends of the Earth [5]. AP notes that Obama and Clinton's love affair with Big Coal pleases the American Coalition for Clean Coal Electricity [6], a coal industry front group [7] formed on April 17 by the merger of Americans for Balanced Energy Choices [8] and the Center for Energy and Economic Development [9].
