The Progressive magazine and the Center for Media and Democracy are merging!

Walking in the footsteps of "Fighting Bob" La Follette, we will continue to break big news, expose the Robber Barons, and champion key progressive values, including civil liberties, civil rights, economic justice, peace, and greater environmental protections.

Together, our two nonprofits -- both based in Madison, Wisconsin -- will do more to defend democracy and civil society than we could ever do alone.

We will continue to run PRwatch.org, ALECexposed.org, SourceWatch.org, Public School Shakedown, and other investigative and outreach projects. Together, we will have a stronger voice, a greater reach, and a bigger impact.

And we will continue to publish The Progressive magazine, a national treasure, which recently celebrated its 105th birthday. CMD will move its research team into The Progressive to do more original reporting on the Banksters and the bullies, the phony front groups, the dark money lords, and the modern Robber Barons and ballot bandits that are destroying our democracy.

To help us celebrate, The Progressive is offering CMD supporters a special deal -- 12 issues of the print magazine for only $10! Please take two easy steps, copy this code: WCMD14 and click here to sign up. You will need to enter the code on the subscription page along with other information to get the discount. Your $10 will help fuel our new, combined operation.

And if you are in the Madison area, come join the fun Wednesday, April 9th as we exchange merger vows in a special ceremony, with Jim Hightower presiding!

Please help celebrate this exciting union with a subscription to The Progressive, now fortified by CMD!

Congradulations on the merger I hope all will be successful!

I will be stopping by the new Progressive/CMD offices tomorrow before the ceremony and pay for my subscription then (& finally give my contribution).
